TAKING STOCK OF THE iLOQ

We’ve been busy rolling out this groundbreaking digital locking system since 2022, on sites up and down the country from Land’s End to the Out Skerries islets in Shetland. By the end of that year we had replaced combination locks on access gates and anti-climb hatches at 1,800 sites. By December 2024 we will have fitted this NFC-compatible smartphone technology to a further 1,000 locations.

Our administrative team set the access rights for the iLOQ system and manage our engineer accreditation. We’ve noticed that some engineers were having access issues while using the locks, and so via iLOQ Manager we developed two animations for Android and Apple IOS as an educational resource to prevent confusion.

We also hope that by sharing this visual aid, we can help others to better understand the procedure in full. While the existing animations are very good, we wanted to highlight the crucial distinction between Apple IOS and Android when using the iLOQ software to maximise on-site efficiency. You can view both animations below.
